WARSAW. – Only heads of EU member states signed a separate declaration of the Eastern Partnership summit, condemning the situation that violates human rights in Belarus.

Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine that were also participating in the summit refused to openly condemn the state, summit spokesperson, representative of Poland in EU told ITAR TASS.

According to the representative, they tried to work out a common attitude on concluding the declaration, which estimates the situation on human rights, laws and democratic norms in Belarus. However, the sides failed to reach an agreement.

As a result the participants of EP summit signed a common text of the concluding declaration outcome and a separate document, signed only by EU states. It was reported earlier that the declaration condemning Belarus, has been approved by all summit participants.
