YEREVAN. – German Ambassador to Armenia Hans-Jochen Schmidt visited the 24-hour rally of Armenian opposition in Liberty Square, where he met with leader of opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) Levon Ter-Petrosyan.

Incidentally, this is not the first time German Ambassador visits opposition rallies.

Note that during the debate recently organized by the Civilitas Foundation Hans-Jochen Schmidt said that current situation in Armenia is the legacy of Levon Ter-Petrosyan. He also voiced the issue of rigged elections held under Levon Ter-Petrosyan.

Today, however, the two officials had a warm conversation, according to witnesses’ accounts.
