MOSCOW. – Criminal investigation on Samvel Mehrabov, 25, murder case continues.

Azerbaijani Janpolad Veli ogli Budakov, accused for the murder, he committed in Orenburg, then moved to Moscow. He was caught by police in Russian capital. Investigation continues, deputy president of Russian Armenians’ Union German Ananyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

It was earlier reported that district police officer Mehrabov was celebrating his father’s 50th anniversary in a restaurant, when a fight started. Though Mehrabov was not on duty at the moment he tried to stop the fight. One of the drunken men stabbed him during the fight. He was taken to hospital but died the other day. The murderer was revealed to be double European champion of sambo Azerbaijani Janpolad Veli ogli Budakov.
