YEREVAN. – The state shall not share Nairit Rubber Factory Company’s credit commitments, Armenia’s PM Tigran Sargsyan stated during a briefing on Sunday.

Commenting on Nairit’s request to receive credit from Eurasian Economic Community Anti-Crisis Fund, PM noted that the Government is currently seeking for an enterprise management operator.

When Nairit does have a company administrator, the request will likely be approved. “We discussed this matter with international finance organizations: World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. They share our position that the state shall not assume direct risks for the enterprise’s commitments,” Sargsyan announced.

Nairit’s funding request was submitted in 2010, and the funding could reach up to US$ 300 million.
