YEREVAN. – Armenia’s industrial growth is expected to be 13.5 percent, in 2011, whereas in 2012, this indicator is predicted to be around 7.5 percent, Minister of Economy Tigran Davtyan on Tuesday stated during the budget hearings at the National Assembly. And in comparison with the 4.6 percent in 2011, the GDP growth is expected to be 4.2 percent, in 2012.    

And as per the Minister’s most cautious assessments, a 30-35-percent increase is expected in export, in 2011, whereas this growth is predicted to be 13.5 percent, in 2012.  

These indicators and predictions were accepted as basis for determining the budget funding amount for the activities which the Economy Ministry carries out.   

Specifically, in 2012 the Ministry will be allocated 808 million drams (US$ 2,128,777), which is approximately the same amount as in 2011.
