OSCE Minsk Group has a mandate for mediation of the conflict. We have to determine what measures can support the work of OSCE Minsk Group and increase the confidence between the sides, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton told Azerbaijani APA agency, answering the question of whether the EU plans to strengthen its role in the negotiations on Karabakh conflict.

"Not only will the sides of the conflict, but also the European Union gain from the settlement of the conflict. Therefore, we are concerned about increasing tension and aggravation of the situation," said Ashton.
