YEREVAN.- CIS Inter-religious Council Presidium Session opened in Yerevan on Monday.

Trilateral meeting of Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus Kirill I and spiritual leader of Caucasus Muslims, Allahshukur Pashazade will be held on the sidelines of the council session.

The participants were welcomed by President Serzh Sargsyan, Russian Ambassador to Armenia Vyacheslav Kovalenko read the message sent by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.

Addressing the participants, Patriarch Kirill I noted a common position on a number of important issues of spiritual and moral life. At the same time, the Patriarch marked with regret that questions of morality in society are not priority, unlike economic success.

“Religious leaders cannot be indifferent to conflicts in interpersonal, public and international relations,” he said.
