YEREVAN. – A Chinese boxer Shangguan Pengfei died of a heavy attack on head 42 days after the match, which ended in a knockout late October.

The fight was held within the frameworks of Kung fu King Free Boxing Championship in Haikou, China.

Shangguan was hospitalized unconscious and died on Tuesday, Chinese based China Daily newspaper reports.

The incident resulted in a great resonance in the Chinese society. As a result, final of the championship was postponed till next year, ITAR TASS reports.

To note, this is not the first case when a boxer dies of heavy attack. Russia was recently shocked by the death of a young boxer Roman Simakov.
