STRASBOURG. - The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) starts the investigation of the cases of the four Armenian MFA employees who were expelled in 2008. The authorized representative of the diplomats Vache Grigoryan informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that the communication letter was sent on November 29.

The claim was presented to the European Court of Human Rights by the head of the MFA’s former Press Service Vladimir Karapetyan, head of NATO department Martha Ayvazyan, head of US and Canada department Karine Afrikyan and adviser of Europe department Arakel Semirjyan. They were dismissed from work by former FM Vardan Oskanyan as they expressed their annoyance about the presidential elections and post-election events in 2008. They applied to the ECHR demanding to acknowledge the violation of their rights and compensate it properly.
