YEREVAN. – The meeting between the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Co-Rapporteur on Armenia John Prescott and Armenian delegates did not work out, coalition member Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) MP Naira Zohrabyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

She said that parliamentary opposition ARF Dashnaktsutyun MP Armen Rustamyan tried to present the opinion of the opposition on transferring the electoral system into 100% proportional one. However, Prescott was not interested in the dilemma of proportional and majoritarian systems at all.

“The issue was not on the agenda of the meeting. Hence, it was decided to continue the discussions on this issue in parliament groups,” Zohrabyan stated.
