YEREVAN. – The US dollar’s exchange rate against the Armenian dram (AMD) sharply increased in Armenia’s financial market, as a result of stock exchange trading.  

The average USD/AMD exchange rate made AMD 388.79/$1 at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Thursday. So, the dollar went up by 0.42 percent, as compared with Wednesday, which is the sharpest fluctuation so far for this year.The sales totaled $1.1 million.

Some exchange offices purchase US dollar at the rate of AMD 388/$1, and sell it at a minimum of AMD 390/$1.
