YEREVAN. – From among Armenian banking system’s assets, 3.25 percent are non-working as of December 31, 2011, the Central Bank of Armenia’s December 2011 bulletin informs.

The ratio of these assets reduced in the past six months; specifically, 5.05 percent were non-working as of October 31.   

The greatest share of these non-working assets is in trade, with 0.82 percent, and the processing industry comes in second, with 0.7 percent. These are followed by consumer and mortgage loans.   

As of December 31, the commercial banks’ assets are worth 2-trillion drams (approx. US$ 5,161,206,428), and therefore the non-working assets account for 65-billion drams (approx. $167,739,208).
