YEREVAN. – Intermittent snowfall is expected in Armenia from Wednesday to Saturday. Also, fog is forecast for some parts, and snowstorm is expected in the mountains and mountain passes, Hydrometeorology Center’s Forecasting Department Head Gagik Surenyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In his words, there will also be hidden ice on some road sections, and the snowfall will be more intense especially in the evening hours of Thursday and Friday.     

Capital Yerevan’s night-time temperature will drop to -6 Celsius (°C) and down to -2°C is expected in the afternoon.

Gagik Surenyan also informed that snow is up to 20 centimeters deep in the capital, and that it is 10-80 centimeters throughout Armenia.
