TBILISI. – It is such an impression that Georgia’s policy is permanently withdrawing towards Armenia since the genocide recognition of the Circassian people, Georgian expert Mamuka Areshidze said at a press conference on Wednesday commenting planned Armenian-Georgian exercises, Georgia Online reports.

“It is a very important theme, as we do not see a clear regional policy. All these are eclectic moves. It is a bit hard for me to say what Georgia’s attitude towards Armenia is, especially when Georgia recognized the genocide of the Circassians. Armenian Genocide was recognized by several leading European state but not by Georgia. On the one hand, it is such an impression that Georgia’s policy is permanently withdrawing towards Armenia. On the other, the Armenian-Georgian exercises do not carry a massive character. In the meantime, the authorities of both states claim it is held within the NATO, but it is not enough,” the expert said.
