Famous Turkish journalist, analyst Mehmet Ali Birand said French Constitutional Council’s decision must not considered as if France was scared of Turkey.

The analyst commented on Council’s decision recognizing the bill penalizing denial of the Armenian Genocide as non-constitutional.

In an interview with Kanal D channel, Birand the decision just saved Turkish-French relations from deteriorating.

“The council gave us and the world lesson how important the freedom of speech is. We should not say everything is over and we are saved. Turkey will be walking in mined field till 2015. We have to move on taking it into account,” Birand said.
