YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Human Rights Defender Karen Andreasyan sent his 2011 Report to National Assembly (NA) Speaker Samvel Nikoyan, and recalled that the NA MPs are obligated to hear it in the parliament’s spring session. Andreasyan himself stated this during his press conference on Wednesday.   

He expressed a hope that the Report will be put for the MPs’ discussion during the NA spring session.

In the 2011 Report, the subject matters are classified in accordance with the activities of the 25 state agencies. Its 25 sections point to the flaws and shortcomings that were recorded within the jurisdiction of each agency.  

The Report also reflects on the positive developments recorded in each department’s actions. 

And the 2011 Report’s 26th section is devoted to the activities, accomplishments, and shortfalls by the Ombudsman and his staff.
