YEREVAN. – The Hraparak daily received information that there was an altercation Tuesday evening aboard the Moscow-Yerevan flight, and there was even a fistfight, the daily reported.

“Some people were injured, and the airplane had returned [to Moscow], as a result of which the Yerevan-Moscow flight [scheduled] for 20:00 [i.e. 8pm] was put off until 1[am] at night.

“The press officer of the [RA government-affiliated General Department of] Civil Aviation, Ruben Grdzelyan, yesterday [i.e. Wednesday] told us on this occasion: ‘There was no serious incident.’

“En route [to Yerevan] from Moscow, a passenger demanded to be gotten off of the plane, [and] said that he wanted to go back. [So,] the plane had to land again.

“In such cases, all passengers are taken out for security considerations, the aircraft is inspected, and then the flight is conducted; the delay was due to this,” Hraparak wrote.
