YEREVAN. – The money owned by Sergo Karapetyan, the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia (RA), has sharply increased in the past one year, reported Zhoghovurd daily.

“The minister’s funds, according to his 2014 declaration, have amounted to 79 thousand 500 [US] dollars, 78 thousand 200 euros, and 175 million drams [approx. US$363,439], as of last year.

“Reminder: Sergo Karapetyan, before being appointed minister, was heading the [“Artfood”] Artashat Cannery company. (…). This company, as is well known, is linked to the family of RA Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan.

“In other words, Sergo Karapetyan has ‘partnered’ with the PM in both government and business,” wrote Zhoghovurd.
