YEREVAN. – It became known Friday that on September 7, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan will travel to Moscow on working visit, and on the same day, he will meet with President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation (RF), reported Zhamanak daily.

“According to the [respective] communiqué, matters of deepening bilateral relations will be on the meeting agenda.

“Judging from the fact that the communiqué was disseminated by the Kremlin press service, we can conclude that the meeting takes place at the initiative of Moscow.

“Judging from the announcement on the content of the meeting, we can conclude that Moscow essentially has certain concerns, or discontent, in connection with Armenia. This is attested by the announcement on the discussions on deepening bilateral cooperation, since in the matter of bilateral relations, Armenia seems to be doing even more than possible, or logical, toward the RF.

“In parallel to this, the communiqué about Serzh Sargsyan’s visit shows that the visit will be ‘impromptu;’ that is, its need has arisen just now,” wrote Zhamanak.
