YEREVAN. – Upon the instruction by Armenia’s National Security Service (NSS), the State Revenue Committee (SRC) on Thursday commenced inspections at The Civilitas Foundation—whose founder is former FM and Prosperous Armenia Party MP Vartan Oskanian—Zhoghovurd daily writes.   

“The Foundation’s Executive Director Salpi Ghazarian informed: ‘They came from the SRC and went to the accounting department, since our documents are there.’

We learned that the State Revenue Committee’s Operational Intelligence Department is conducting at Civilitas an inspection of the accuracy of interrelations with the [state] budget.    

Yesterday [Thursday] they asked for the Foundation’s financial activity documents ever since its founding in May 2008. 

To note, the NSS suspects the Foundation of money laundering and tax evasion,” Zhoghovurd writes.
