YEREVAN. – The Armenian political opposition’s single candidate for the forthcoming presidential elections was being outlined in an increasingly clear way, but it did not materialize, Hayots Ashkharh daily reports.

“An ideal choice could not be found. [But] According to our observations, solely one man remains in the country who [still] believes in a single candidate: [National Self-Determination Union Chairman] Paruyr Hayrikyan who, naturally, sees only himself in this role.

In his person, however, we have a ‘thermometer’ that shows the same ‘numbers,’ [and] therefore his usefulness is questionable,” Hayots Ashkharh writes.
