YEREVAN. – You can often come across groups of people protesting in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan, 168 Zham daily reports.

“The participants in these protests consider that their struggle is not political, but rather civil because they demand from the authorities to reckon with their demands and to meet them.

“But these movements and groups are beginning to believe that the authorities are not so inclined to meet their demands.

“Several representatives of these civic groups have [even] started to speak about the need to unite and bring a political sense to their civil strife.

“They already plan to present the list of those officials that should be gotten rid of as soon as possible. And it is not hard to assume what will happen if these demands likewise are not met.

“So, the civic activists [in Armenia] are turning into political activists,” 168 Zham writes.
