YEREVAN. – Armenian Energy and Natural Resources Minister Armen Movsisyan does not comment on the contradiction of the statements made by him and the Iranian ambassador on the matter of supply of Iranian natural gas to Armenia, 168 Zham daily reports.

“To our query as to, ‘How would you comment on the statements?’ Movsisyan responded: ‘Ask the ambassador why he says that.’

“To our remark that the ambassador of Iran states that Armenia has not conducted negotiations with them over the gas import, the minister responded: ‘I say what it is.’

“To our query as to whether Armenia may hold official talks with Iran over gas import, Movsisyan responded: ‘If they insist on what they said, absolutely.’

“[But] the minister did not explain as to what they [i.e., Iran] should ‘insist on,’”168 Zham writes.
