YEREVAN. – Economy Minister Vahram Avanesyan confessed that the sanctions imposed on the Russian Federation (RF) by the US and the European countries will have an impact on Armenia’s economy, too, Zhoghovurd daily reports.  

‘“If the sanctions affect the economies of our partner countries, this certainly cannot be good,’ he said. 

“As per Avanesyan, the government still does not have specific calculations as to the affects the imposing of sanctions against Russia will have on Armenia’s economy.   

“Thus, [PM] Tigran Sargsyan’s government is either unable or does not want to control the situation. In both cases, the problem is serious,” Zhoghovurd writes.
