YEREVAN. – In parallel with the quest for the new prime ministerial candidates, rumors are circulating in Armenia’s political backstage that the makeup of today’s ruling coalition government may change and additions may be made in it, Irates De Facto newspaper reported.

“[Accordingly,] the representatives of other [political] parties likewise may get [governmental] posts.

“Information is disseminated that the future coalition government will be much more multi-layered, and some of today’s opposition may get positions, too.

“ARF [opposition ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party] and PAP [non-pro-government Prosperous Armenia Party] may return to the coalition. This option can be realized if the PM candidate, as [President] Serzh Sargsyan has said, ‘would be acceptable’ for them.

“[But] our sources informed that the ANC [opposition Armenian National Congress] and [opposition] Heritage [Party] becoming a part of the government is ruled out,” Irates De Facto wrote.

On April 3, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan submitted his resignation to President Serzh Sargsyan, and the President accepted the resignation.
