YEREVAN. – Armenia’s former Justice Minister Hrayr Tovmasyan, who is now the newly appointed National Assembly (NA) Chief of Staff, plans to make personnel cuts, about which some already have been verbally notified, Haykakan Zhamanak daily reported.

“We have learned that Tovmasyan, when getting familiarized with the staff list, stated that it is vastly ‘extravagant,’ and that the [personnel] cuts will be substantial.

“[But] especially the ruling [party] MPs took the news about the expected cuts painfully, since they have their relatives employed at the NA Staff,” Haykakan Zhamanak wrote.
