YEREVAN. – A quite noteworthy situation has been created around the countries that co-chair the OSCE Minsk Group, which is engaged in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh (NK) conflict, Aravot daily reported.

“Two of the Minsk Group co-chairing countries, the US and France, seem to work separately by being more active in terms of the Karabakh settlement expectations. [Official] Moscow, on the other hand, seems to have started another game around the Karabakh settlement [matter], [and] it keeps apart from the moves of the other [two] mediating countries.

“Perhaps it is for the first time that the US and France are acting sharply separately, whereas Moscow, with more passivity. Perhaps it is attempting to make other arrangements with [official] Baku in terms of meeting Baku’s demands as much as possible in the NK issue, in the case of the chances for [Azerbaijan’s] Eurasian Union accession and its positive outcome,” Aravot wrote.
