YEREVAN. – The media made a variety of analyses on the Armenian, Russian, and Azerbaijani presidents’ recent trilateral meeting in Sochi, Russia, and its outcome, Aravot daily reported.

“A specific emphasis will be made here on the analysis of the current state of the [Armenian-Azerbaijani] conflict and its possible continuation, the outcome.

“The first likely outcome is that the events will continue virtually in the same way.

“If we base ourselves on [Armenian President] Serzh Sargsyan’s interview given to Armnews television, we will have the following as the second outcome: Armenia will use its missile complex, deal fatal blows, capture all the way to [Azerbaijani capital city] Baku, and put an end to this 24-year-old tormented matter.

“The third and final outcome: Armenia, as a CSTO member—and also as a CU [Customs Union] member in the near future—will ask, or petition to Russia to deploy peacekeeping forces in the conflict zone and to rein in disobedient Azerbaijan. Russia certainly will gladly express in favor of this request,” Aravot wrote.
