Representatives of the Prosperous Armenia Party on Friday filed a petition with the Constitutional Court of Armenia, challenging the decision adopted based on the results of the National Assembly (parliament) elections on June 7, the Constitutional Court informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The Constitutional Court will decide on the admissibility of the petition at a procedural meeting within two days after the petition is filed.

If the petition is accepted for proceedings, a reporting judge will be appointed, who shall prepare the case for trial.

Trials in disputes regarding the results of the National Assembly elections are conducted verbally.

The Constitutional Court is obligated to examine the case and make a decision on it no later than 15 days after the petition is filed, the Constitutional Court added.

Earlier, the Strong Armenia Alliance, as well as the Wings of Unity and the Democracy, Law, Discipline (DOK) parties, had also submitted similar petitions to the Constitutional Court.
