The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) struck three Hezbollah command posts in southern Lebanon in response to ceasefire violations, the IDF press service reported on Monday.

“STRUCK IN RESPONSE TO CEASEFIRE VIOLATIONS: 3 Hezbollah command centers in the areas of Nabatieh and Mayfadoun in southern Lebanon,” the IDF said, in particular, in a statement on X.

Lebanese and Israeli representatives signed, in Washington D.C. on June 26 and mediated by the US, a framework agreement on the settlement of the conflict.

Lebanese Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem, however, said the document signed in Washington had no legal force, calling it a “loss of sovereignty.”

The agreement, among other matters, provides for the preservation of a security zone under Israeli control in southern Lebanon and, as the Israeli side claims, the complete disarmament of Hezbollah in Lebanon.
