The death toll from the earthquakes in Venezuela has reached 4,829. This was announced on July 15 by National Assembly Speaker Jorge Rodriguez.

"4,829 people have died, 16,740 were injured, and 6,462 were rescued," the Telegram channel post said.

It is noted that assistance was provided to 128,324 families, while 17,907 citizens were left homeless. In addition, 20,857 people are being housed in 106 temporary camps.

To deal with the aftermath, 30,989 military personnel and 31,315 volunteers were deployed, as well as 2,408 international rescuers, the statement emphasized. A total of 34,872 patients received medical assistance.

According to Rodriguez, those affected were provided with more than 10,000 tons of food and over 24 million liters of water. A total of 1,284 aftershocks were recorded.
