China successfully launched nine Earth remote sensing satellites into orbit using the Gravity-1 (Yinli-1) launch vehicle, Xinhua reports.

"At 10:54 on July 22, the Gravity-1 launch vehicle was successfully launched from a sea platform in waters off the coast of Shanghai. The rocket placed nine satellites into their designated orbits," the report said.

It is specified that these are Dongpo, Xiguang and Tianyi series satellites used for Earth remote sensing.

Beijing is actively developing its national space program, creating meteorological, telecommunications and navigation satellites, as well as technologies intended for lunar exploration. With state support, Chinese specialists are carrying out asteroid and Mars exploration projects. China's space station is operating in orbit and is also intended for international cooperation.
