A group of unidentified individuals in Toronto attacked two bakeries belonging to a local chain owned by ethnic Jews. CNN reported this, citing city police.
According to law enforcement, one of the bakeries was attacked with a firearm, while the walls of the other establishment were damaged with blunt objects. Police have launched an investigation into a hate-motivated crime.
Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow described the incident as antisemitic and called it "vile and unacceptable." She promised to step up efforts to combat such crimes.
