People were trapped under rubble after structures collapsed in a shopping center in Japan’s Kumamoto Prefecture on the island of Kyushu following powerful earthquakes, NHK reported.

It is noted that there are reports of the second floor collapsing and that many people were trapped under the rubble. About 200 people were evacuated to the parking lot.

There are also reports of injuries.
