Armenian Minister of High-Tech Industry Davit Tadevosyan On Monday received a delegation led by Indian Defense Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh, who is in Armenia on an official visit.

During the meeting, the possibilities of expanding cooperation between Armenia and India in the defense industry and high-tech sectors were discussed, highlighting the domains of scientific research, development, and innovation.

The importance of strengthening India’s institutional ties and developing partnerships with Armenian companies was emphasized. Within the framework of the meeting, a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia and the Ministry of Defense of India in research, development, innovation, and joint production in the defense industry was signed.

The document stipulates the directions for deepening mutually beneficial cooperation in the defense industry, including the implementation of joint research, design and innovation programs, the development of defense technology startups and incubators, as well as programs for the exchange of skills and experience of specialists in the field.

Also, the parties agreed on further steps to ensure the practical implementation of the agreements reached.
