International tourism platforms Booking.com and Getyourguide.com have begun actively promoting tour packages to Nagorno-Karabakh and its Shushi city.

Naturally, Shushi is presented as “Shusha,” and Nagorno-Karabakh’s capital Stepanakert as “Khankendi.”

Moreover, the Upper Govhar Agha Mosque in Shushi is featured as a prominent attraction—the very same mosque that was restored in 2019 by former Nagorno-Karabakh state minister and well-known businessman and philanthropist Ruben Vardanyan, who is currently being illegally detained in an Azerbaijani capital Baku prison on fabricated charges.

As a reminder, until recently, the global chain Marriott Bonvoy was also advertising a similar tour package. However, following global pressure organized by the Armenian National Committees and several other Armenian organizations, it canceled the offer and removed the advertisement from its official website.
