The six countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) will launch a unified tourist visa project in the near future, GCC Secretary General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi said, Khaleej Times reports.
According to him, this project will “see the light soon.”
He noted that the creation of a unified visa make it easier for international visitors to travel between all six member states, and it will be similar to how the Schengen visa facilitates travel across several European countries.
At the same time, however, Albudaiwi did not specify the exact date of entry into force of such a visa, its cost, the procedure for obtaining it, and the possible validity period.
