Indonesian rescuers are searching for the second day for 130 person’s missing after a passenger ferry sank in the Java Sea, the local rescue service said.

According to the latest data, 622 specialists and about 12 ships are engaged in the search and rescue operations.

As of Monday morning, there are 6 casualties, and 107 passengers and crew members have been rescued.

The Virgo Transport 8 ferry, carrying 243 people, had disappeared due to a strong storm that had broken out over the weekend.

The circumstances of the incident are being ascertained.
