YEREVAN. – The optimization process continues in Armenia’s tax system, head of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) Gagik Khachatryan told the journalists on Tuesday.
“Six territorial tax departments were closed on Monday. As a result, 134 employees were dismissed from the system. The process, however, is not final yet. A corresponding committee, comprised with experts, has for three months studied the departments,” he said.
According to the SRC head, the steps are taken for enriching the system with qualified professionals.
“Those employees who do not meet the modern demands should leave the system. Besides, the committee with the improvements targeted at staff policy tries to improve the system base and correspond it to international criteria,” Khachatryan concluded.
