make preferableYEREVAN.- A protest action in support of sentenced opposition activists was held near the office of Armenia’s Prosecutor General on Friday.
The court cast the verdict for the four Armenian National Congress bloc activists on July 20. The court sentenced Arakelyan for 6, Karapetyan for 3, Gevorgyan and Kiramijyan for 2 years of imprisonment.
One of the protesters Zaruhi Hovhannisyan said criminals are walking in the streets while those struggling for legal state are sent to jail.
The demonstrators pointed at the March 1 case, saying murderess are still free. The protestors said they would hold protest actions every Friday.
