Armenian people are celebrating their victory and it is known to all, the presidential candidate and leader of the Heritage Party Raffi Hovannisian said at a press conference this Monday.

“I respect all of my competitors and, above all, [the incumbent president] Serzh Sargsyan, for his service during the liberation struggle for Karabakh, for achievements in the development of the state. His name will remain in the history of Armenia. He should be the first president of Armenia, who recognizes people's victory. Raffi did not win and Serzh did not lose, the people won, expressing their will in the election. Our people deserve a de jure elected president,” Hovannisian said.

He also said that he does not intend to warn not to use administrative resources, but everyone, regardless of party affiliation, will be responsible for violating electoral rules, for the threat to the people, for the pressure on the people.

“It does not matter - who are these people, the members of the Republican Party of Armenia, Prosperous Armenia, ARF Dashnaktsutyun or Heritage Party. All of them will be punished,” he stressed.

According to Hovannisian, all that he needs in order to fulfill the dreams of the people is to have the power that belongs to him. Hovannisian himself promised to live up to his promise and after 5 years of presidency to hand over the power to the younger generation.
