YEREVAN. – The secretary of Armenian Heritage opposition parliament group Zaruhi Postanjyan persuaded participants of protest action in Yerevan downtown to step several meters away from the police cordon.

Addressing the crowd, Postanjyan stressed that “those standing on the other side are our brothers.” They have received illegal order from [Armenian President] Serzh Sargsyan, who barricaded himself in presidential residence, she added.

“Today we stood up for struggle, but not everyone, unfortunately, can do it,” MP Postanjyan said.

She and other activists of Heritage party managed to take the first row of the protesters 15-20 meters away from police cordon. A small group of opposition activists has returned to Liberty Square.
