YEREVAN.- Leader of Prosperous Armenia party Gagik Tsaruukyan is trying to break away from power, leader of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) said during Saturday’s founding convention of the ANC party.

The evidence thereof is his party’s withdrawal from the coalition, not supporting Serzh Sargsyan during the presidential elections, participation in parliamentary vote by a separate list, Levon Ter-Petrosyan said.

“How can we repel a political force which is struggling against the evil?” he emphasized.

Leader of ANC said Serzh Sargsyan will definitely change his attitude toward Heritage party. Sargsyan will forgive neither Hovannisian, nor Tsarukyan for their parties’ independent steps over two years.

Sargsyan will not let Hovannisian become a strong political power, he added.
