A case of wolf attack was recorded Monday in Armenia’s Lori Region and, as a result, 46 sheep were killed. 

The wolves attacked on the sheep belonging to Amrakits village resident Martin Alaverdyan, Armenian News-NEWS.am’s Lori regional reporter informs.

At the time of the attack there were 129 sheep in the barn. Alaverdyan informed that twenty-two of the sheep were dead, eleven others were missing, and another thirteen will have to be slaughtered because these animals have sustained fatal injuries.  

Overall, the wolf attack caused the villager around $6,000 in damages, and, separately, some of the killed sheep were pregnant. 

In his turn, Amrakits prefect Artur Nerkararyan told that this was the second attack on the village in recent days.
