YEREVAN. – Armenian PM Tigran Sargsyan’s petition received by General Prosecutor’s office was sent to the Police, spokesperson for the prosecutor Sona Truzyan told Armenian News –NEWS.am.

The Police have launched criminal proceedings on Paylak Hayrapetyan’s case. An investigation is being held to check the issues mentioned by PM. The Police confirmed receiving an application.

As reported earlier, Tigran Sargsyan submitted a petition concerning the article, titled “Cyprus Troika: Who ‘Stripped’ Businessman Paylak Hayrapetyan of His Assets?” which Hetq.am News Agency had run. The article said that PM Tigran Sargsyan, Archbishop Navasard Kjoyan—the Vicar General of the Araratian Pontifical Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church—, and “jeweler” Ashot Sukiasyan are shareholders in an offshore company called Wlispera Holdings Limited, which is registered in Cyprus.
