YEREVAN. – The members of a movement struggling against transport fare hike continue staging protests near Armenian capital’s municipality building.
On Friday protesters presented the list of seven demands, one of the being to reduce the fares to 50 drams for five days as a compensation and dismiss the head of transport department Henrik Navasardyan.
The police prevented activists’ attempt to hand over their demands to the city hall officials.
One of the activists Argishti Kiviryan is confident that that if society continues the movement, it will be possible to solve other problems the country is faced with.
