YEREVAN. – The Armenian public does not trust the businessman ministers in the new government. 

Opposition Armenian National Congress National Assembly (ANC NA) Faction Secretary Aram Manukyan on Tuesday stated the aforesaid at the NA.

In his words, the new government thinks solely about its own financial interests, and that is why the society does not trust them.

“People are thinking: ‘Why should I pay taxes to this government, if with this money the Government shall resolve the matter of its own enrichment?’” Manukyan stated.

As per the ANC MP, this distrust also “infects” the potential foreign investors, since they have ceased to consider Armenia as a reliable country for investments.   

“As a result, the foreign investments [in Armenia] are reducing,” Aram Manukyan added.
