YEREVAN. – Former official from Tavush regional administration Lyubik Chibukhchyan has an intention to seek asylum in Azerbaijan.
It is not for the first time he voices such threats, but today he presented his intention as a reality.
Chibukhchyan, an official dismissed from his post, told Aravot newspaper that he had informed BBC about his intention to seek asylum in the neighboring country.
The blackmail used by Mr. Chibukhchyan is a result of his dismissal from the post of governor's adviser. The remark “I have done so much for Armenia. You will not find such a talented person like me” made in an interview with Armenian News-NEWS.am describes his “appetite”.
Earlier Chibukhchyan introduced more than a dozen letters outlining his merits and demands. Formal official decided to expand the range of interests and work for the neighboring country, or at least to try to get something through blackmail.
