YEREVAN. – The National Assembly (NA) on Thursday adopted—with a vote of 67 for, 40 against, and 5 abstentions—the draft decision “On the Approval of the Account on the Performance of the 2013 State Budget of Armenia.”

Before the voting, however, opposition Orinats Yerkir (Rule of Law) Party (RLP) NA Faction leader Heghine Bisharyan stated that RLP was in the ruling coalition government in 2013, and therefore—and “because of propriety”—their faction will abstain from voting.

As a result, solely the ruling Republican Party NA Faction MPs voted for, whereas the four non-ruling NA factions (Armenian National Congress, Prosperous Armenia, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, and Heritage) cast their ballots against, the draft decision.
