YEREVAN. – The Armenian parliament to hold hearings on electricity rates, Speaker Galust Sahakyan said on Thursday.

The price of electricity in Armenia will rise by 10 percent starting from August, chairman of Public Services Regulatory Commission Robert Nazaryan announced on Wednesday. According to him, the respective decision will be made in a foreseeable future, and during the Commission session.   

As per Robert Nazaryan, the Commission has looked into the relevant companies’ petitions with a request to increase the electricity prices in Armenia.
